Taxonomy and biogeography of fish parasites.
Research activities: From February 2005 until December 2005, E. Kellermanns (E. Kara) worked on fish parasites of Macrourus berglax from the East Greenland Sea. One important result was the high parasite richness in this bathydemersal deep-sea fish. From January-February 2006, she worked at the Bergen Museum, Norway, to further study other deep-sea fish species. Since September 2006 E. Kellermanns is employed at the University Düsseldorf, Institute for Zoomorphology, Cell Biology and Parasitology, within a project on deep-sea fish parasites sponsored by the German Research Council (DFG). |
